We slept well again at the Ancient House Resort in Hoi An. Just like yesterday, we wake up early, but that doesn't matter. We have absolutely nothing planned today.
The breakfast is very good again, just like yesterday, that's also nice.

During breakfast we decide to take a boat trip today.
Just like yesterday we walk to the old centre of Hoi An, because there are all kinds of boats that you can take a boat trip with. Most of the boats are near the market, but we decide to walk a bit further because it is quieter there. When we ask somewhere what the possibilities are, it turns out that we can take a boat trip around an island in the river, an island that we can also reach via a bridge because we just walked over it and we are now on that island. We can choose between a boat trip of half an hour or an hour, almost 500000VND for two people, we do not get clear whether that is for half an hour or for an hour. After asking a bit more it turns out that it is for an hour, and we have to go on a boat with two people who want to go on a boat trip for half an hour. And we have to go now because it is happy hour, in the afternoon a boat trip is much more expensive. We don't get it anymore and we're not going with that boat.
Back on the mainland we take a quick look at the covered Chùa Cầu (Japanese) bridge, Chops Hoi An Riverside and have a drink. There we decide to leave the boat tour for what it is. We just don't get it and we get the idea that we are being ripped off.

As we continue walking we criss-cross through the old center, it is not as busy now as yesterday and the day before yesterday and that is nice. This neighborhood is indeed very picturesque and almost every house is a shop or restaurant, and therefore very touristy.
After a while, it is already half past two, we get hungry, we can eat a little now and have a big meal tonight, or we can have a big meal now and maybe a few snacks later tonight. We choose the latter and have a big meal now.
After looking around here and there, we choose Morning Glory Mother's Kitchen. We order fried pak boung, a stew with fish and pork and later on a kind of filled omelette. The food is reasonable, but unfortunately not what we expected.

Pia decides she wants an original Vietnamese hat, one with holes for the necessary coolness, yesterday we saw one. But we can't find one.

On our way to the hotel we wonder whether we will have a drink in the hotel again tonight or whether we will sit somewhere else. We leave it at that for now and rest a bit from the walk.
In the meantime Pia gets a message from Moue, she can't pick us up from the airport tomorrow, she has to do something when handing out diplomas at her work. We didn't count on being picked up so it doesn't matter.

In the evening we have a drink in the hotel bar again and we order a small, tasty dish with it.
